Tony Lake grew up in Detroit raised on the music of Motown, Midwest pop-rock, and Detroit R & B. He fell in love with music at an early age and cemented his love by learning guitar. As his appetite for music grew he became enamored with the recording and mixing side of music, learning the intricacies of the process, and adding this technical aptitude to his music appreciation.
These skills have seen him at the console of recording studios working with artists as diverse as Sting, Shaggy, Lady Gaga, Far East Movement, Jukebox The Ghost, Charlie XCX, and Mumford and Sons, as well as touring across the world with Sting and Shaggy, and with acts supporting Katy Perry, the Black Eyed Peas, and LMFAO.
"Being immersed in music at a young age gave me an appreciation of music as an emotional outlet and as an art form. I've been able to meld this spirit with musicianship and the technical aspects of music, which puts me in a unique place the industry - able to understand and converse with artists and professionals across several disciplines of music and audio."
Equally comfortable in the company of artists, producers, A & R reps, managers, mixers, engineers, on the road with the live crew, in broadcast trucks, on the scoring stage, and film sets, his talents, conversation, and wit flow to wherever it is needed to get the job done.
